We’ll guide you through the stages of our process to from initial communication and design all the way to the final product.

How it works…

1.

At Customary Avenue, each piece begins with your inspiration. Maybe it’s a photo you saved or an idea you’ve had for years. From there we take your vision and move it through our process.

THE INSPIRATION

2.

We work with you either in person or over email, text or phone, sharing ideas and fine tuning your design. It often begins as a rough sketch that blends several ideas until we reach the look you’re going for.

THE DESIGN

Sketch of a bathroom vanity with dimensions: 60 inches wide, 34.5 inches tall, with a double sink, five drawers, two cabinet doors, and a lower shelf.

3.

Once the design is approved and finalized, and wood type and materials are selected, we’ll create both an architectural drawing with your specifications and well as a realistic rendering to make sure the final product matches your inspiration.

THE SPECS

A rustic bathroom vanity with a white countertop, gold fixtures, and dark wooden cabinets, with a round mirror and wall-mounted light fixtures above.

4.

The fun part! We’ll take the design and begin to make it a reality. Every piece will be constructed from scratch to your exact dimensions. As the design begins to take shape, we’ll include you in the building process to make sure the final product turns out exactly how you envisioned it.

THE BUILD

Our process is rooted in collaboration.
We start by understanding your vision, then guide you through design, materials, and scale to ensure every detail is considered. Once finalized, each piece is carefully built by hand, resulting in work that feels tailored, refined, and made to last.
